Fundraiser at Bogart’s for Mentoring, Sept. 16, 2010

The full impact of the Bogart’s MAD MEN MARTINI MIXER for MENTORING is only just beginning to be seen and felt. Rocky Top Hospitality, and it’s owner, Dean Ogan, and his staff deserve big THANKS for providing free-of-charge the space, time, people, prizes, p.r. support and resources to promote this event! THEY were AWESOME! The best folks ever to work with. Gracious, patient and professional, even though I was not a paying customer. I was treated like I was their best patron ever. If you ever need someone to cater an event for you, please consider one of Rocky Top Hospitality’s many fine locations and services.

A LOT of people are now aware of the Boys to Men mentoring network, not only because of the event, but also because of the NBC-17 TV interview, and the N&O coverage that promoted it. It’s insignificant that the actual amount raised on the night of 9/16 wasn’t huge, because there are now major organizations and banks talking of providing support into 2011. Thus, the end result could be enormous! If Rocky Top Hospitality had not helped us with this, none of this could have happened.

Most importantly, great connections were also make to help the local, Raleigh-area chapter provide richer services where needed the most, with the kids that need mentoring, as well as to help the chapter grow (read more on page: Mad Men: Win-Win!)

Enjoy PICTURES from the Boys to Men fundraiser at Bogart’s. Thanks again Rocky Top Hospitality, and all of the supporters and guests!

We help boys develop responsibility and guide them toward healthy manhood. We are part of the Southeast chapter of the Boys To Men International Mentoring Network, called Journeymen and located in Asheville, NC (www.mentogingboys.org). This is part of the larger international movement (www.boystomen.org). Our Raleigh chapter can be found on Facebook.
